Services For Real Estate Professionals:

About

Jason O'Brien founded FDC Code Consulting after more than a decade in the fire service and public safety. After conducting hundreds of commercial inspections and plan reviews as the Authority Having Jurisdiction, Jason wanted to help property owners, managers, and project teams navigate the complexities of fire and building code — on their terms, before problems become costly and affect timelines.

Jason has served as the Fire Prevention Division Head and fire code subject matter expert for a Massachusetts municipality. That experience on both sides of the inspection record is what FDC Code Consulting is built on. He knows what inspectors look for, how compliance records are built and reviewed, and what the consequences of unaddressed violations look like after an incident.

Jason is a nationally certified Fire Inspector and holds dual Master's degrees, giving him both the field credentials and the research depth to tackle complex code questions across a range of occupancies and project types.

Massachusetts smoke and CO detector inspections are required for every residential sale — and a failed inspection can stall a closing. FDC Code Consulting provides fast, knowledgeable support to help buyers, sellers, and agents understand what's required, what was cited, and how to resolve it quickly so your transaction stays on track.
